About Me

I am always fascinated by uncovering intriguing facts about politics and economics—from a village in Kandahar to the global stage, and I’m eager to explore the complexities behind them.

As a sophomore at the College of Arts and Sciences of Cornell University, I enjoy studying Government and Economics. I am inquisitive and I love exploring these fields. I am also on a pre-law track to Cornell Law School.

I have participated in Cornell in Washington program, I had the opportunity to see the lawmakers. Living in one of the most bustling cities in the world was one of the most unique experiences. I also took a class under Ronald Christie, former Special Assistant to President Bush.

As a member of Cornell International Affairs Society, I have attended Harvard National Model United Nations (2025) and University of Pennsylvania Model United Nations (2024) conferences, and to further satisfy my passion for debate, I also joined the Cornell Political Union.

I also write blogs on topics that interest me the most, such as prisons in Afghanistan. You can find them here on my website, and I’d love to hear your thoughts—feel free to share them!

Experience

Beyond the classroom, I have immersed myself in politics, media, and public service. As a Media and Communication Intern at LULAC in Washington, D.C., I tracked congressional hearings, analyzed legislative shifts, and crafted compelling digital content that expanded the organization’s reach. At Cornell’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions, I guided prospective students and played a role in organizing major university events. My experience as a Student Library Assistant at Mann Library allowed me to support academic research while streamlining access to essential resources. Additionally, as a translator and interpreter for Cornell’s Law School and refugee programs, I help bridge language barriers, ensuring that Pashto- and Persian-speaking communities receive critical legal support.

Skills and Interests

I have developed skills in data visualization, legal interpretation, and digital content creation. I have intermediate proficiency in R for data analysis, Adobe Creative Suite for multimedia production, and Microsoft Office for professional communication and organization. My passion for languages has led me to fluency in English, Pashto, Persian, and Hindi, with intermediate proficiency in Arabic. Outside of academics, I am a competitive cricket player, a dedicated calligrapher specializing in reed pen (Qalam) techniques, and an avid traveler, having explored 17 U.S. states in less than two years. Whether through debate, writing, or research, I am always eager to uncover new perspectives and engage with the world around me.

I am a student, learner, explorer and someone with a big picture, and I am very keen to explore more and more.
